Mentally challenged children to participate in marathon
Staff Reporter Bangalore: More than 25 children, who are part of Samruddhi, a community-based programme of the Association for the Mentally Challenged (AMC), will participate in the Bangalore Marathon to be held on May 31. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, AMC president K. Jairaj said the participation was aimed at supporting and strengthening the families of the mentally challenged in the city.
AMC is awarded by Rotary Club of Bangalore for Excellence among Voluntary Organisations working for Mentally Challenged Children in Bangalore. The award function was held on April 6, 2009.
