During the last few years, parents of the children and adults utilising the services of AMC have come together to form a parent self-help group. This group works to support each other parents. For example, they have mobilised resources to help those parents who cannot afford the medicines needed for their children. They also organise annual sports day at AMC. Most importantly, the coming together of parents has resulted in mutual support to the parents while they have special needs. Parents also facilitate in getting the various benefits and supports that are available from the State Government.
